its possable there was not much pressure on the tip of the torch  it barely worked in keeping the flame out there ... it needed more LPM and pressure to work good !

Bob, I hooked up the propane tank that I compressed the Hydrogen into to a gas Grill burner. I couldn't get the burner itself to light but I could get a small flame at the orfice. The flame itself was almost colorless but had a very slight blue tinge. I think that the propane orfice is too small. I am going to try again this time I will pull a vaccume on the tank before I start to fill it. It seemed like there was not much Hydrogen in there, I believe it was because the tank probably had O2 in it to start with and I was compressing it along with the H2.

Ok that makes perfect sense... but how are you going to put -20psi on the propane tank ?
... orface being to small does not supprize me at all... because the diference between natural gas and propane is almost double the hole size ( in a water heater burner jet)
...
the flame front on Hydrogen is the same as that on Hydroxy gas it is SUPER FAST..
so a Propane flame arrestor won't stop it.... but a cigerette butt filter in the hose might !...ehhehehehehehe go figure!

...
be carefull
and GOOD LUCK !

It shouldn't be hard to get the pressure in the tank. i wil just pull a vaccume on the tank to remove any air or what ever is in there and the close the valve. After I hook up the pressure tank generator i will open the valve and the pressure tank will do the rest (up to 80#'s). I just used a bubbler on this go and filled it up within a couple inches of the top. If you let the hose sag and put a little water in it between the bubbler and the orfice it makes a second trap kinda like a kitchen sink.

Hummm...
on that small of a hose the Hydrogen will just push it into the bubbler and the line will be free of water. defeating your "sink trap idea" it takes a larger diamator pipe for that !
 ...
yah if you have a vacume pump that should get it down to a complete vacume with no truble
then wait till there is say 60PSI or so in the Cornish generator before opening the valves and you should be assured of having nothing but Hydrogen in the tank ....
...
I guess I'll have to invest in a vacume pump !  but your right that makes allot of sense to do it that way!
....
as I said before a natural gas jet for a propane water heater has a hole in it almost exactly 2 times the size of the propane jet... so you can eather drill out the jet orface or maybe use a torch tip cleaner to get the size bigger........
don't forget to adjust the air mixture on the burner it SHOULD be adjustable but not all of them are.
I can't wait to see a picture of that stove burning Hydrogen... if ya can't see the flame  take a pic of it boiling a can of water ! HAHAHAHHAHAHHA  or lighting a rolled up newspaper!
....
I have a few irons in the fire right now and can't realy join you in your experiments  just yet...
darn it anyway !... but the Cilica needs front wheel berrings and the parts should arrive soon and I need to get the front axels out today !
My other project of running the 3.5hp B&S on pure Hydroxy , is next on the list, besides  my continual Moveing back to the ranch ! .... so many things to do and so little time ! HAHAHHA!
 ...
I was looking around yesterday for a suitable container for a cornish generator though
and I think I may have found one , it will be a small one but I think it will hold enough alum and KOH
to put out enough to fill 2 or 3- 5 gal propane tanks........ not big enough for the 200gal tank or for the 25 gal tank... unless I run  a bunch of batches ...
but I am no where near ready for that anyway ! HAHAHAHAH
...
if I remember right... the cornish generator will need a Pressure releaf valve on it... a pressure guage and a ball valve to the line going to the tank... and ofcorse the proper fittings to attach to the tank...
am I forgetting anything ?

Not to worry, I used a 14" high bubbler and filled it within 1or2 inches of the top. No one has more respect for this stuff than i do.

Check around the auto body shops, I have 4 of em when I started the pots were galvanized steel then I upgraded to Aluminum. They many have a couple they don't use anymore.
