On my obd1 EFI system, 1985 ford, I successfully leaned down the system.
I used a 220k resistor on the act and a 220k resistor on the ect sensors, (in parallel)

Don't know the exact amount but I think the computer thinks it's about
40 to 50 degrees warmer than it is.

In the past it's always ran richer than I wanted (air fuel ratio gage)
Now it runs a little richer for a couple of minutes before it leans down.

No HHO yet.

It all adds to the store of knowledge,  even to people like me that don't have all these electronic gubbings to worry about. Smiley

Thank you CRB !
that is valuable info !
sounds like you have it on the run ! leaning out the engine is , I think, the hardest part of this HHO stuff !
...strange that just putting a resistor in there will cause it to lean out , but I guess it is all
going off of voltage and reducing the voltage should be the ticket to leanness!
....
get that HHO cell in there so you don't run it too hot in this heat...and watch your temperature gauge!
the HHO replaces the gasoline you took out and helps it run much smoother, better.
but when leaning out an engine be aware there are dire consequences if you go too far!  like seizing up the engine !

Well, knowing what the sensors range were, (EFI book that I have).
I went to a parallel resistor calculator web site, plugged in some
values, and guess what, I said to myself, It works.
Might have to change the values when it gets colder out though,
have to wait and see.

hahaha it used to be you changed the main jet in the carb to change the fuel ratio...
now days you change a resistor hacked in to the system because they don't want you to change it...
why ? because their greedy and own 90% of the oil stock....and want you to waste gasoline !
... would they do that Huh?  just look at the mileage of cars in the past and say to yourself why was gas mileage better when technology was lower ? bigger engines ? no because we have smaller engines today for the most part... and they pump out just about as much HP as the old ones used to stock.
something else is going on when they stood in front of the senate sub committee and lied when they said its imposable to get over 50mpg in cars today.... when at the same time the Honda Accord was getting 51mpg on the highway...  perhaps they have pulled the wool over the eyes of the American people so well that now everyone believes them ?  the auto manufacturers are Our worst nightmare !they will bead us dry!...
my 2 coppers worth ! LOL
