crb.
I actually considered that point some time ago. My reasoning was that as there was bound to be a voltage drop across the the length of the plates, most of the current would concentrate nearest the supply connections then taper off .
It's one of the things to check out later.
Randy.
Not so much room on my car. I may be able to fit it inside the engine compartment if I do a bit of cutting around the front wheel arch. As I have to do quite a bit of metal replacement anyway, I may go for that option.

I Read somewhere that a fella used 2 power tap points on each plate that were 12"x12" (Kitty corner as you said) the increase was Minimal but there was a increase... on plates that big I can see the need for placing the power to opposite corners of the plates but on 6" ones I seriously doubt that will be an issue... unless your feeding it with small wire... then adding the same size wire would double the total wire size and distribute it better all the way around.
( and thus its not necessarily the feeding it in opposite corners that helps but the diameter of the wire carrying the power that was the big gain!)

Another way would be to supply one plate from the top and one from the bottom.

Manta, In the past, my plates have been vertical in abs pipe,
This time I'm placing them horizontal in a electrical box 6x6x4"
Don't know if that will do anything different. I've just got to do
something (even if it's wrong) haha. I'll be trying the two power taps too.
