Well it looks like I need to actually order the $60 connector with the correct chip in it.. o well.. when i start really working again then i'll get it.

but it looks like the WinALDL is the program to use to read it.

and i ended up replacing the EGR with one off a fiero and it fixed the problem, then my bro sold that fiero later that day lol.

H²+O in need to buy a OBD II scanner and thus need your advice.
What are your recommendations thanks.

What kinda cars do you have?

Toyota camry and may soon add a honda civic to the list. I would like something that provides universal application if possible.
Unit should have the following
-Inexpensive
-Able to capture live data
-Usb connectivity prefered
-Compatible with most OBDII software
-And whatever else you think I will need

are they newer than 96?? if they are then get

as for the program, Instead of buying every program i could find and it not working i went to ISOHUNT.COM and tried them till i finally used this one 'ScanMasterELM'

which is normally $90 or so but free from there.... the keygen is what gives you the registration for free full function use.

I've gotten several of that ELM scanner and sold them to people around here. told them to call me if they had any problems or questions and only had a few simple questions but no problems.
