Hey Bob, I think you ought to take pics when building that switchplate cell, a lot of people might benifit from that build, components are easily found and I'm sure there's a bunch of people with the smack that could be easily rebuilt to this configuration, I think it'll be a winner.

LOL !
Yah your Right I should ! ... at first I dismissed the idea, but you never know...good documentation is really valuable IF it works good!  HEHEHEHEH
...I'm off to find some Vinyl tubing the right size to fit the Nuts !

Hay Randy !
I assembled the switch plate cell using your method of stacking... and it looks funky
perhaps I don't have all the nuts real tight and that allows the plates to twist a bit... I'm not sure
but there are obvious plates touching in the stack...
perhaps this is due to the Vinyl tubing I used... I cut it rather wide to have some "CRUSH" but think now that I may have out-smarted myself in that! hehehehhe
the stack is obviously much much closer, much closer than 1/16" apart... probably something like 1/64"
and sense these switch plate covers are not FLAT they are touching in quite a few places....
I am thinking of wedging in pieces of Zip ties to try and get it to pass the continuity test.
but before I do that I will take it all apart again and start all over and tighten everything real good this time!
...
it seams to be working however... but I am not sure at this point if I can ever get it to pass the continuity test! the entire stack of 12 plates is only about 1.5" thick ! before 11 of them were 4" thick! LOL !
...
 Any suggestions ?

Yeah; my suggestion is to glue small pieces of plastic, or rubber the right thickness, should be able to get the measurement by laying one of the switchplates on a flat surface in dishlike position, set one of the nuts in the large hole and measure the height of the nut remaining above the thin ss plate, divide in half, that'll be the thickness needed for the insulating spacers, now glue small spacers into the corners of the flat surface, should even that stack right out, they won't need to be very big, just the right height, a dab of silicone or superglue should keep them in place. Also I'm not sure if any squash is necessary with the tubing, it's there to align and insulate from shorting.

hehehe I have to agree about the squash idea.... now that I used it it just messes up the stack !
I sliced up a bunch of thinner pieces of tubing and used them their about 1/8" thick ....still purdy darn wide !  but I put 6 plates on with the new insulator hose pieces and its some what better....
I will have to add the glued on pieces... I'll use crazy glue because it dries fast.
I think the thickness of the vinyl tubing is just about right for the spacers... I'll cut 1/16" squares and glue them on each plate and see how that works !
...
I am a bit concerned that the spacing is Not wide enough now...sense these darn switch plate covers are con-caved it is going to mean a bit more spacing I think.
I may add some of the note book insulators as a bit of a gap increase... dunno about that yet.
...
Thanks again for your Help Randy !
I'll see if I can get this cell back together in the next few days... I have a Sink to put in today !

Sounds like a remodel going on there, I dont know for sure but maybe just regular size nuts instead of jam nuts might work for ya.
Happy new years

Oh yeah, I'm familiar with that, my folks had a double wide mobile home, they were having some plumbing problems, same thing, guess they saved money by not installing shutoff valves, pulled out all that galvanised pipe and re plumbed with PVC, what a friggin nightmare, tear off was pretty easy, think they used Staples to build the whole thing.

hehehe yah we just left the old cast iron pipe in there.... and ran 2" PVC hose out to the garden, did that for the bathroom sink as well as the kitchen.... the not having ANY shut off valves ANYWHERE for the water system has been a problem over the years... but we now have a shut off valve to the entire house and new valves under the kitchen sink.... not sure about the toilet or bathroom sink yet but I'll tackle that when I have to ! LOL.
Umpteen years ago when I was a Kid we got that trailer house and it was fairly old then... Mom was in 7th heaven ! ...so was I ! a bed room all of my own ! .... minor detail that the back wall to my bedroom was ripped loose on the move in hehehehehe a few nails took care of that though !
...Now that Trailer has seen better days...but I'm trying to get it into a bit better condition !
never ceses to amaze me How much they charge for a NEW trailer ....Knowing how shabby they build them... they really have a mark-up on the few materials they actually put into one! LOL

Oh yah I got the sink in and no leaks this time !
I got the counter top anchored down and am getting ready to tile it .....
... I talked it over with the wife and looks like I'm going to get a Tile saw out'a the deal too so that can't be bad at all ! HAHAHAHHA!
... we bought new prettier tiles the other day and they are much better as far as looks goes.
its Rose Marble.... which happens to be mostly GREY oddly enough but it is Pretty stuff I have to admit
...
I replaced the needle valves the wife got about a week ago for shut off valves with 3/8" ball valves and 3/8" compression fittings... to increase the flow of water to the fossett !  it helped a great deal !...the sprey wand, that came with the fossett was bad from the start....the valve in it was stuck wide open.... and even though I took it all apart I could not make it work right...so we bought another one and I hooked both the hoses together so it has a long hose on it.
now we can fill the coffee pot with the wand and not have to use the bucket thing! HAHAHAHAH
...
I have to go into town today and buy more wood pellets and I'll run over to Harbor freight tools and see what they have in a tile saw .
...
Are you making any progress on your new 4" cell Randy ? that should be a doozy of a cell ! but its going to need more amps than the old MK 1...  how much are you planning on giving it ?
try to get the APSI to .5  that way you should have the same output as your old cells!
anywhere from .3 amps per square inch to .5 amps per square inch...should do the trick for ya ...
and YES plan on handling the heat it generates too.... a gallon or 2 recirculating tank should go a long way in keeping it cool ! you may not even need it, but its better if you have it for the hot summer months coming up !

Haven't gotten anywhere yet, still waiting for them washers to show up, then I'll have to juggle working on it between work and other must do's, I'm kind of excited to see just what this thing will do, so when them washers show up I'll most likely dive right into it. Been doing a lot of computer repairs lately, word is getting out that I fix them at a fraction of what it costs to take them to a repair shop, this is because I am comfortable working on motherboards, the shops won't even touch them, just replace, then after they do that the customer needs to purchase a new product key for the OS and any other windows software, Office ect. I've even done a few board level repairs for a local computer repair shop, hahahahaha I've had a few that suffered a shorted CAP which burnt the trace in the laminate, requiring a jump wire to fix, Don't seem to get any of them back so I must be doing something right.
