time to start giving some serious consideration to that Hydroxy cell, and quit putting it off!
but with the price of stainless steel at an all time high it makes it real hard to get the plate material!

I havn't put a cell back in the truck yet, as I am waiting for a bigger one... I'ed like to get better than 40mpg and the only way to do that is more LPM !

I have been considering a rack of 6 or 8 cells in the back of the pickup.... that is definately a way to get the LPM I need... but I'ed rather tinker with a larger cell like the one Bob Boyce made ...
60~61 plates fed with 120vdc or AC... this is because I could perfect it on the test bench and then put it in the truck after all the bugs are out... because I still don't have any good source of DC amperage
other than my AC/DC welder and that's a bit much... because that's almost impossable to duplicate in the truck....

Bob,

Not up to much at the moment.  Been trying to get back into my bio-diesel production to help out with the fuel cost for my Peugeot. Actually,  our Diesel price has dropped a bit to £1.17/Litre.  I have a stock of old veg oil that is being 'troublesome' to say the least.
I really do need to get rid of the Peugeot. I bought it last August to eplace my aging Citroen.  It has the same 1.9 XUD type engine,  but it's a turbo. I expected great things from it.  But due to nearly all my driving being around town I can't keep it on the turbo.  It's gutless until it gets to 2000 rpm; and I tend to shift early and mooch around at about 1800. So I only get 30 mpg (Imp).  I was getting 45-50 with the non-turbo  Citroen.  But all is not lost. I still have the Citroen in the yard,  and a good welding set up.

Good to see you returning to the hydroxy fold.

First job I ever had on leaving school was in a local timber yard.  I have the greatest respect for big band saws,  and for big circular saws as well. You mind you be careful.
It would be nice to see a few reports from the others. Maybe they've all gone fishing.
