Feral, Thanks, again for getting me out of the mud! Mike, Bob, That old 'Automatic Radio' in the photo as my dad's and he bought it in the early '60's. Interesting thing is that the AM band is in Kirocycles. What the heck is a Kirocycle? I'm including another photo of my 'wonderful' welding Tink

I have been pulled over 2 times now in the past year for missing mud flaps. So here is a tribute to Randy. I used some of the fender washers that didn't turn out so good and made mud flaps since the brackets were gone too. This way they won't get stuck and ripped off when I back up in a snow pile or mud hole. Sometimes it is just difficult getting out of here, we are back 4 miles off maintained roads. Tink

Here is the froint side, I know the spacing is off but the fenderwashers were an afterthought. Sometimes I just start a project without a real detailed plan and see what happens. I had a cop follow me for a few miles yesterday and I think he was pondering the outcome of my project! Tink

UH ? never hurd that one except on 18 wheelers! you must have tires that extend out side of the fenders ! that'll do it. ... so where is that open Hood Pic of the truck Tink ? ... <GRIN> Bob.......

Tink, I love the station set-up, way to pack things in, lol. Also lots of wire crammed in to. Bottom left is a tuner I gather, what is under the short wave reciever? I forgot what u are welding with, stick or mig or tig? Also I don't remember if I sent a pic of my ham station. If u would like I can send one. I just started reading the book, looks real good, more in depth than the video. I still think u will enjoy the dvd, hope u get it soon. 73,s. Mike, AB2DF.

Hay Mike ! Looks like its our understanding of the post counter not the counter itself... it displays the total posts of the person on every post they have.... it doesn't count up from one post to the next ....thats all.... thanks for drawing my attention to it... <grin> I didn't know that ! HAHAHAHA .... Bob........

Bob, My truck is raised and so needs mud flaps by law. Even a 1" lift requires it in AZ.
Mike, Yea, I'm a mess. Anyway that's the SBE SB-2LA 1000watt Linear I haven't hooked up yet. The box under the Grundig is the Dentron legal limit Super Tuner The box to the left of it are the tubes for the Linear. Out of 12 I have 6 that are a pritty good match and someday I'll get the nerve to hook it up. I've never ran a 1000watt kicker and am a little intimitaded by it. The headset I use is a Heil and I'd be lost without it since my ears are so bad. Tink

Thanks Mike I appricate that. Some hams think that when this Solar Cycle 24 gets going that 10 meter will open up. That'll be interesting. Have you heard anything about this? Tink KC7KGH

Tink, I have heard both ways, some say it is supposed to be the best in like a century, others say it will amount to a very low cycle. I will do some research and see if I can come up with some hard facts. I have seen an increase on 10 m. Mike, AB2DF.

Mike, I just got off the radio (7265) with a ham in upper NV and also one in 29 pines, CA. I was using the wire antenna and only pushing 85 watts. Got a 20 over from NV and s5 from CA. The ham in Scotsdale here in AZ I could not even hear. All tipical. Usually I can't connect with my buddies on 7265 lately. 40 meter is different every time I tune in. Tink
